Yvonne Celine Eirich, beloved wife of Curtis Eirich, passed away on Saturday, April 16th, 2016 at the age of 51 years at St. Joseph’s Home (Carmel Hospice). Yvonne leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Curtis Eirich of Medicine Hat; her two children, Rolanda Eirich and husband Brandon Vance of Medicine Hat, and Logan Eirich of Medicine Hat; and the one and only grandchild and love of her life, Easton Vance. She also leaves a sister, Rhonda (Jerome) Mastel of Edmonton; and brother, Arthur (Jeannette) Helfrich of Medicine Hat; her best friend, Sandi Burton; as well as many other extended family and friends. Yvonne was predeceased by her parents, Anton and Cecile Helfrich; and two brothers, Rodney and Bernard Helfrich. Yvonne spent most of her career working as a secretary or paralegal. She loved volunteering and helping people in need. Yvonne enjoyed life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter shopping and going to garage sales as well as scrapbooking and doing crafts. Yvonne and Curtis would spend most of their summers camping, fishing and boating. Yvonne especially enjoyed laying on the beach, reading a good book and sipping on a glass of wine or fruity drink. She loved to travel and in 2008 Yvonne convinced Curtis to live a little and get on his first plane ride to Florida. Yvonne was a free spirit, always said what was on her mind and never took life too seriously. She was a fighter and fought to the very end; even made it there to witness the birth of her first grand baby. Love you to the moon and back mom…you will be forever missed! Relatives and friends are invited to join the family in celebrating Yvonne’s life at RIVER VALLEY COMMUNITY CHURCH, 1101 Queen Street SE, on Saturday, April 23rd, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Borrows officiating. Curtis and family,
We are sorry we were unable to attend Yvonne’s service. Yvonne was such a positive light every day when she worked with us. She made us all look good. We have missed her generous and kind spirit. We have been thinking of you. We hope your precious memories will sustain you in the coming days.
Our sincere condolences for your loss,
John Stodalka & Marilyn Herrmann
Curtis , we are so sorry to read about the loss of your wife. Although we didn’t know her as well as you hopefully your tales about the Taylor kids cleaning woes made her laugh years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
