My condolences to the family. Don was one of the first true horseman that I had the honor of knowing. I remember hanging out on his place on the 501 where he gave me the taste of calf roping sitting on a homemade wooden horse
Roping and tying a wooden practice calf. He was the first that I crossed that had true passion for horses and horsemanship.
I take my hat off to you Don! Thanks for giving a young kid some cowboy wisdom many years ago!
See you on the other side…

I’m very sorry to hear that Don passed away, my condolences to the entire family. Not a day that I worked in the Manyberries restaurant was a bad one when Don came in. Always had a smile or a joke that kept me going! He will be missed.
Condolences to the families. I watched Don on his “Cutting horse” many years ago. As a city boy it was so impressive to to see him and the horse as one, the calf couldn’t get by them, eventually the calf just stopped. The skill Don exhibited that day was so very impressive.
