Gladys Aileen Nemeth of Redcliff, beloved wife of the late Vendel Nemeth, passed away on Friday, August 5th, 2016 at the age of 82 years. Gladys leaves to cherish her memory her five children, Wally Nemeth (Elaine) of Sheritan Lake, BC, Tim Nemeth (Nancy) of Chilliwack, BC, Robert Nemeth of Lac La Biche, AB, Susan Nemeth-Lahai (Aziz) and Valerie Jans (Steve), both of Redcliff; two very special daughters-in-law, Jordi Nemeth and Leslie Nemeth; eight grandchildren, Christine Dennis (Phillip), Richard Nemeth, Jesse Nemeth (Tiffany-Ann), Tracey Nemeth, Travis Nemeth (Lindsey), Bailey Jans (Wolfgang), Lance Nemeth, Annika Nemeth; five great-grandchildren, Shelby Mastel (Matt), Silas Swan, Sophie Nemeth, Parker Nemeth, Archer Nemeth; one sister, Matilda Glass of Regina, SK; and her special canine companion, Daisy. Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Vendel Nemeth; one son, Roger Nemeth; her parents, George and Elsie Hubick; two brothers, George Hubick and Donald Hubick; and two sisters, Joyce Reiff and Doris Komar. Gladys was born and raised in Earl Grey, Saskatchewan. She married her sweetheart, Vendel Nemeth on November 30th, 1951 in Earl Grey. Gladys and Vendel moved to Alberta in 1953. Gladys worked at the Redcliff Curling Club as a caretaker for 16 years. She loved sharing many activities with her family such as camping, fishing, attending rodeos, nitro funny car drag racing, as well as hosting and cooking for special family holidays and gatherings. Gladys was an avid sports fan, she especially loved watching the Toronto Blue Jays games. The Funeral Service will be held at VICTORY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2793 Southview Drive SE, on Monday, August 15th, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend James. C. Bredeson and Diaconal Minister Lila de Waal co- officiating. Interment will follow at Redcliff Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Gladys’s memory may be made to the Margery E.
