Garry Calvin Russell, beloved husband of Joan Russell of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, November 21st, 2016 at the age of 65 years. Garry also leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Sandra Russell and Dawn (Nathan) Shorten; his mother, Emma Russell; four grandchildren, Josh, Jack, Olivia and Madyson Shorten; one sister, Carrol (Dwight) Knox; mother-in-law, Madeline Rawleigh; Joan’s brothers, Wayne (Wendy) Rawleigh, Gordon (Leah Ann) Rawleigh and Dale Rawleigh; one sister-in-law, Vivien Fiesel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Garry was predeceased by his father, Calvin Russell; one brother, Dale Russell; and father-in-law, William Rawleigh. Garry was born on December 3rd, 1950 in Brooks, Alberta. He married Joan Rawleigh on March 24th, 1973 in Tilley, Alberta. Garry frequently enjoyed a game of golf with his golf buddies. He loved spending time with his grandkids and will be missed dearly by his family and many friends. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Wednesday from 12:00 noon to 12:55 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Shane P.
