Marie Gabrielle Noël (neé Gyorkos) passed away peacefully with her family by her side at St. Joseph’s Carmel Hospice on July 5, 2018 at the age of 65 after a courageous battle with cancer. Marie is survived by her husband, Francois B. Noël; and his children, Joey (Adia) Noël (children: Mason, Angeli), of San Jose, California, Nicole (Kevin) Hieb (children: Marcus, Miley), of Medicine Hat and Steven Noël (children: Anika) of Campbell River, BC; as well as her own children, Evan McPike of Medicine Hat, and Sarah McPike of Edmonton. She also leaves behind her siblings, Michael (Jane) Gyorkos, Mark (Diana) Gyorkos (children: Nathan, Kassia), Matthew (Sally) Gyorkos, Stephen Gyorkos, Stephanie (Dave) Gyorkos (children: Landon), all of Medicine Hat, and Aaron (Lise) Gyorkos (children: Benjamin) of Victoria, BC; as well as her close friend, Donna Laughy of Medicine Hat. Marie is predeceased by her father, Ignatius Gyorkos, and mother, Alice Gyorkos-Hauck (John) (neé Rinker), of Medicine Hat. Marie will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, her love for animals, her inspiring resilience, and her beautiful smile. A memorial gathering will be held on July 11, 2018 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Ross Creek Business Centre, 851 Industrial AVE SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta.
