KILTHAU, Keith Francis
Posted: November 5th, 2018Keith Kilthau passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the age of 66 years, with his children by his side. Keith will be lovingly remembered by his dear friend and companion Merna Stangler; and his children, Nicole (Vanan) Kilthau, Dallis Kilthau, and Kassia (Jon) Anderson. Papa Keith will be forever missed by his grandchildren, Chase, Brittney, Tristen and Cooper Kilthau; and Daxton and Maddox Anderson. Keith is survived by his siblings, Cindy Kowatch, Arleigh Kilthau, Beverly (Dean) Nagel, and Rodney (Linda) Kilthau; as well as numerous other extended family members and friends. Keith was predeceased by his mother, Cecelia Kilthau, his father David Kilthau, and his sister Audrey Kilthau. Keith was born in Leader, SK in 1952. After attending Grade 12 at Leader Composite High School, Keith attended Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Moose Jaw where he received his ticket in welding. Keith had a passion and natural knack for mechanics, welding, woodworking, tile setting, and everything in between. Keith will be fondly remembered as “Jack of All Trades” as Keith could build, create, and fix anything. Keith also enjoyed fishing, camping, scuba diving, and hunting game birds. Keith was well known for his curling, bowling, and billiard skills. Those who knew Keith, knew that he worked, played, and loved hard. Keith fought an admirable and heroic battle against numerous health conditions through the latter part of his life.
Psalms 71:20-21 “Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honour and comfort me once again.”
With respect to Keith’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, November 8th, 2018 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. If you wish to honor his name, donations can be made to Medicine Hat SPCA at 55 Southwest Drive SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 8E8. Sincere condolences to the family and friends on Keith’s passing; way too soon. Thinking of Keith has brought back many fond memories of our younger days in Leader. May your memories always hold him near.
