1929 ~ Hazel Hedin ~ 2019
Posted: August 26th, 2019Hazel Agnes Hedin of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Arthur Hedin, passed away on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 at the age of 90 years. Hazel leaves to cherish her memory her children, Errol (Angie Wakelin) Hedin and Wendy (Ray) Bonertz; grandchildren, Erik (Sunny) Lemen, Bjorn (Margareta) Hedin, Carla Hedin, Warren Hedin, Dwayne (Kelly) Fournel, Ryan (Anna) Fournel; great-grandchildren, Adrian Fournel, Matteo Fournel, Morgan Fournel, William Fournel, Sam Lemen, Michael Lemen, Rikka Hedin, and Elaina Suggett. Hazel was predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur; parents, James and Mabel McNaught; brother, Max McNaught; and sister, Dorothy Chisholm. Hazel was born on March 22nd, 1929 in Calgary, AB, but spent most of her life in Medicine Hat. It was here that she met and married the love of her life, Art, on May 3, 1952. Hazel enjoyed working at the British Army Training Base for many years, was active in Fifth Avenue United Church and as a board member for Horizon Village. Hazel doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
