1927 ~ AUGUST STOLZ, Jr. ~ 2019

August Stolz, Jr., passed away quietly and peacefully at his home (Sunnyside Nursing Home) on Friday, November 8th, 2019 at the age of 92 years. August leaves to cherish his memory his wife; Doreen; and his two children, Cheryl (Jennifer) Stolz and Wayne (Lori) Stolz; as well as brothers-law; sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, eleven siblings, various nieces and nephews, and in-laws. August farmed the homestead on which he was born near Mendham, Saskatchewan, until he and Doreen retired to Medicine Hat in 1986. In retirement he enjoyed hobbies such as metal work, gardening, wine making, and volunteering at Echo Dale hobby farm. The funeral service will be held at South Country Village-Sunnyside Care Centre, Wuerfel Auditorium, 1720 Bell Street SW, Medicine Hat, AB, on Wednesday, November 13th at 1:30 pm; doors will be open to pay respects at 12:30 p.m. Condolences may be sent to Wayne and Lori Stolz, 44 Clelland Crescent SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1B 1M7.
