Ethel Perry of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at the age of 81 years.
She was born to the late James (Bub) and Berna Rogers in Wawanesa, MB on August 22, 1938. Ethel had an interesting life. She was raised in Wawanesa and then joined the military at eighteen where she met her future husband Ed. They moved across Canada with their growing family living the military life. After retiring, they started a new life in Medicine Hat in the bowling industry where they developed many new and lifelong friendships. They eventually settled in Calgary and continued their careers in the bowling industry.
Family and friends were Ethel’s passion and delight. In her retirement, she loved when family and friends came to visit, walking and being in nature except for those damn squirrels.
Ethel is survived by her four children, Dean (Tessa), Cheryl (Allen), Lorri (Brian) and Kelly; eight grandchildren, Stephanie, Samantha, Christopher, Miranda, Melanie, Kalee, Jake, Ashley; and seven great-grandchildren, Aidyn, Abby, Brooklyn, Madison, Boston, Lane, Harper. She is also survived by her brother, James (Gerry). Ethel was predeceased by her husband Edward, sister Linda and brother Clark.
At Ethel’s request the family will be holding a private celebration in one of her favorite spots in nature.
