1930 ~ SHIRLEY KRIWOKON ~ 2020

Shirley Anne Kriwokon of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of Walter Kriwokon, passed away on Monday, July 6th, 2020 at the age of 90 years. Shirley leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 69 years, Walter; sons, Randall Kriwokon and Bradley Kriwokon; daughter, Cheryl Gebhardt; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Wilda Price; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Opal Schmidt; brother, Arnold “Bud” Schmidt; sister, Norma Dewald; and granddaughter, Valerie. Shirley was born on April 23rd, 1930 in Bracken, SK. Shirley met the love of her life, Walter, and they were married on July 6th, 1951. Shirley lived her life with grace and a big heart, demonstrating love and acceptance for all. She was an avid bowler and baker. She loved her church and her family and was one of the kindest and friendliest women one could ever hope to meet. Shirley will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions a private funeral service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1Z5, on Friday, July 10th, 2020 at 3:00 pm with Reverend Dr. Nancy Cocks officiating. Interment will follow at SAAMIS PRAIRIE VIEW CEMETERY. The service will be live streamed through the Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel’s website at www.saamis.com.
