BARDUAGNI, Orlando

Orlando Barduagni passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the age of 82 years. Orlando was born in Fano, Italy on January 8, 1938 and immigrated to Canada the age of 18 years. Not long after, he started working for CP Rail as a section man (maintenance gangs) in Bassano, AB. He later moved on to working for Maple Leaf Mills in Medicine Hat, AB (currently ADM Milling in Calgary, AB) until he retired to Calgary at the age of 65 years. Orlando married Maggie (Kowalawski) on July 9, 1966 and were happily married for 54 years. He enjoyed polka dancing with his wife; dressing up in his cowboy boots, belt, and hat when he was not working; and building things out of wood while whistling and singing Italian folk songs. Orlando is survived by his wife Maggie; his four children: Tim (Annette), Corey, and Dori (all of Calgary), and Margaret (Mark) of Medicine Hat. He will be deeply missed by his five grandchildren: Michael, Kayla, Demicia, Dalton and Hunter; as well as his sister Giuliana, and numerous family and friends in Italy and across Europe. Orlando was predeceased by his parents Clemente and Maria, as well as his two brothers, Giorgio and Guerrino (Carlo).
