FLECKENSTEIN, ADOLPH

Dad passed away peacefully on March 4, 2022 at 86 years old. Dad was born in Maple Creek, SK to Lukas and Rosa Fleckenstein as the 9th child of 12, He grew up on the family farm in Fox Valley, SK until 1947 when his parents retired and moved to Medicine Hat, AB. Dad met and married Mom in 1954 and they had four children while living in Medicine Hat. In 1969 they decided to move to Whitehorse, Yukon where they resided until 1989. They then retired and moved to Spruce Grove, AB. In 2017 they moved to a seniors residence in St. Albert, AB.
Dad will be remembered for being a hard worker, managed two bowling alleys in Whitehorse and was an incredible bowler himself. Dad and Mom owned their own Janitorial business for many years. Dad loved travelling to Hawaii not only for the warm sunny weather but also for the tropical birds. Dad loved suntanning, fishing, cooking, hosting many BBQ’s, watching birds and was a kind and wonderful Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.
Dad was predeceased by his wife Agnes of 65 years in 2020. He leaves behind his four children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by three brothers, the Schile family, nieces, nephews and friends.
Dad never liked to say goodbye so ‘See Ya’ Dad. You will be greatly missed.
