AUSTIN NOTENBOMER

Posted: October 13th, 2022

AUSTIN NOTENBOMER October 31st, 1993 October 6th, 2022 The family of Austin Notenbomer announces with great sorrow his passing in Medicine Hat, AB on October 6, 2022, at the age of 28 years. Austin was born in Bow Island, AB in 1993. He was the youngest of three brothers and a big brother to his adopted sister. Austin was raised on a farm near Foremost, AB for the first years of his life. The family later moved to the outskirts of Medicine Hat where the family home burnt down and they then settled in the city of Medicine Hat. Austin was proud when he was able to purchase his own home on an acreage outside of Swift Current, SK as a young adult. He worked hard as a labourer in construction the majority of his career. Anyone who knew Austin knew he loved snowboarding and he cherished his children. At the age of nine Austin’s primary care was left to his father. From that time on Austin and his siblings dealt with abandonment issues and he unfortunately turned to substance abuse later in life in an effort to cope. Countless family and friends became aware of Austin’s battle with drug addiction and prayed for his health and a happy drug free life. He was successful in battling his addiction since November of 2021 until the untimely death of his eldest brother. Austin was ultimately unable to cope with this loss and fell back on his addiction. Austin’s soul has returned to a place of rest. His family believes the soul is eternal and will meet him again one day. Austin will be remembered dearly in the hearts of his children Denver and Daxx; Father and Mother, Robert and Joyce; Siblings, Derek (predeceased), Logan (Jenna, Eden, Linden and Zayde), Jory and Diona; Best friends, Jace and Dakota; Birth mother, Lisa. Austin, you will be missed greatly. We are honoured to have been part of your life. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at the Medicine Hat Lodge @ 4:00pm.
