MARJORIE JESKE
Posted: December 2nd, 2022 MARJORIE JESKE Mrs. Marjorie Jeske passed away in Medicine Hat on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022, just a few weeks before her 98th birthday. She is survived by her sister, Gladys Miller as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, John Jeske on November 30th, 1989; brothers, Theodore (Vera) Schmidt, Edwin (Alice) Schmidt, Theodore (Olga) Heckenlaible, Art (Emma) Heckenliable and sisters, Rose (Alex) Heath, Rachel Bolin (Don Scott), Emily (Tony) Close, Edna (Paul) Rudolph, Ella (Manny) Schneider and Violet (Adolph) Stock. Marjorie was born on the family farm in the Clearwater Lake District, east of Medicine Hat, on January 11, 1925. She married John Jeske in 1946 and they made their life together in Medicine Hat moving into their home on 9th Street a few years later. She lived in that house for the next 58 years until she moved to Meadowlands in 2014. Marjorie and John loved to travel and they had many happy trips together. They had a small trailer and camped
near some of their favorite fishing spots. Marjorie volunteered for several years at the Medicine Hat Hospital as well as the Veiner Centre. “May joy be with you while you stay and peace attend you on your way”. A Celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery with a reception to follow thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility.
