Leonard “Len” Schwabe of Medicine Hat passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 at the age of 91 years, beloved husband of the late Lorna Lorraine Schwabe. He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Lorraine Mary Louise “Lou” Haag, Leonard Benjamin Sidney “Sid” Schwabe (Tracy Laubenstein), and Rhonoda Lee “Ronnie” Melnyczuk; six grandchildren, Lindsey (Lonnie) Gebhart, Nikki (Denny) O’Connor, A.J. Schwabe, Melory (Matty) Byers, Megan Melnyczuk (Greg Heukshorst), and Wasyl Melnyczuk; nine great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Mary Schwabe; two sons-in-law, Dennis Haag and Taras Melnyczuk; sister, Melba (Emil) Rath and brother, John (Mary) Schwabe.
