ADAM RIES 1938 ~ 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adam John Ries. Adam passed on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the age of 84 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Raymond (Deanna) Ries, his daughter Christine (Dwayne) Oshowy; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Brett (Tiffany; Lily Rae and Cooper); Dakota (Kiel; Hazel Mae); Jenden (Raelynne); Colton; Ginger and Lyle; one brother Roy and one sister Rose, as well as various nieces and nephews. Adam was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Ries, one son Anthony and one grandson Scott as well as numerous brothers and sisters. Adam passed from this world peacefully with his family at his side. Adam married the love of his life Lorraine in 1961, the same year he started his career with Pioneer Grain. Adam was a loving, loyal husband and father whose family was always his first priority. Adam and Lorraine raised three children and dedicated their lives to providing a safe, happy and nurturing home. Adam spent his entire career with Pioneer Grain working for them for 39 years. Adam enjoyed his retirement in High River, eventually moving to Medicine Hat. Pride in his home, his yard, his vehicles and of course his family, kept Adam engaged and occupied throughout his retirement. Always happy to have friends and family visiting, or just popping in, you were always welcome in Adam and Lorraine’s home. Adam’s passing will leave a hole in the hearts of all who knew him.
