LILA HIRSCH 1932 ~ 2023
On Friday, January 6, 2023, Lila Marguerite Hirsch passed away at 90 years of age. Lila was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Mathew “Matty” Hirsch and her beloved first born grandchild. She is survived by her three children, Ken (Pam) Hirsch, Dale Hirsch and Lorie (Mark) Hazzard; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Lila loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her family, especially on the holidays. She would bake for weeks and cook for days to lay out a spread worthy of royalty. She also relished her quiet time and during the summer she spent many hours gardening which was replaced with reading during the winter. Lila was fiercely independent but also selfless, always thinking of others before herself. There will be a family ceremony at a later date when Lila will be laid to rest beside Matty.
