THERESA DOLA 1926 – 2023
Theresa Marie Aurore Dola (nee Charest) of Medicine Hat, died peacefully in her sleep on January 9, 2023, at the age of 96 years, at the Wellington Retirement Residence in Medicine Hat. Our mom was born January 28, 1926, in Edmonton, Alberta, and was predeceased by her parents, William and Maire-Emma (Goudreau) Charest, of Beaumont, Alberta, and her late husband, William (Bill) Dola of 70 years, from Prelate, Saskatchewan. Theresa was the last and the youngest of fourteen children, all raised in Beaumont, Alberta.
Theresa (also known as “Terry” by family and friends) will be remembered for her cooking, gardening, knitting, and witty sense of humor. She is survived by her children: Wayne (Nadine) Dola of Medicine Hat, Brian (Trish) Dola of Edmonton, Brenda Dola of Sylvan Lake, Darlene Dola of Medicine Hat, Cynthia Kennedy of Calgary and Darren (Deanna) Dola of Medicine Hat. Theresa is also survived by twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. As per wishes of her family, there will be a private service on January 14, 2023, at the PATTSON FUNERAL HOME with Life Celebrant Pat Grisonich.The service will be streamed and available for viewing by the public after 12 noon on Saturday.
