DOUG STEINKEY 1959 ~ 2023 The family is saddened to announce the passing of Douglas John Steinkey in Edmonton on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at the age of 63 years. Doug was born on March 7, 1959 in Eastend, SK., and was raised in Maple Creek. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; daughter, Jamie (Ty) Rohl and their son, Corbin and daughter, Lux; son, Dustin (Jamie) Steinkey and their son, Max; Jamie and Dustin’s mother, Penny Steinkey; step-granddaughter, Sydney; his mother, Emma Steinkey; sister, Linda (John) Stauffer; brothers, Jerome (Laurie), Duane (Jacqueline) as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Doug was pre-deceased by his father, Magnus ‘Max’ Steinkey. A Private Graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Saturday, April 22, 2023, with Deacon Robert Risling officiating.
