ELSIE MARTHA ROBBINS (NEE FUNK) 1931-2023 Elsie Martha Robbins (nee Funk) April 10, 1931, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, May 29, 2023, at the age of 92 years. Her four surviving children are Neil (Gloria) Robbins, Donna Rode, Kelly (Heather) Robbins, and Neil (Heather) Davis who will cherish her memory along with fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Arnold, daughter Gail, son Bruce and one grandchild. Elsie was born in Grande Prairie and later moved to Edmonton with her family. There she met then married Arnold on August 13, 1954. They spent 16 years raising their children in Estevan, Saskatchewan where Elsie also worked in the Co-op Bakery using her talents to bring joy to others through delectable creations. In 1971, they moved to Medicine Hat, where Elsie continued her baking career at Richardson’s Bakery until her well-deserved retirement. Elsie enjoyed creating arts and crafts, especially drawing horses and was known for gifting Gallery Glass window decorations to those close to her. Elsie kept social and active in many ways including many years of bowling. She was also a long time volunteer with VON and adult daycare. As we bid farewell to mom, grandma, great grandma and friend let us celebrate a life well-lived and find solace in the memories that will forever keep her spirit alive within us. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so one hour prior to service time. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Monday, June 5, 2023, at time 11:00 a.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend officiating. The service will be live streamed.
