NOREEN SITWELL August 18, 1931 May 28, 2023 On May 28th, 2023, our beloved Mam, Nana and Grand Nana, Noreen Sitwell, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Noreen was born and raised in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, a place that always remained close to her heart. She was a proud, devoted mother to 6 children and a surrogate mother to many more. She will be dearly missed by her children, Lorraine (Paul) Brown and their children, Lucy and Lewis; Terri (Johnny) Bainbridge and their children, Marc, Neil, Emma and Morgan; Kim Sitwell; Joanne (Hossein) Forghani and their children, Sara, Sima, Maryam, Sonny, Samir, Layla and Cameron; Marc (Sheryl) Sitwell and their daughter, Natalie; Glen Sitwell and his son, Geoffrey. She is survived by her 10 great grandchildren, Tyne, Max, Sigi, Ollie, Benny, Charlie, Nico, Tilly, Lydia and Jude. Noreen married the love of her life, John, after a whirlwind two-week romance. They travelled extensively and instilled a love of travel in all their children. She was a social butterfly, loved people watching and was always happy and smiling. She was a very positive person and had a compliment for every person she met. She was the epitome of a classy lady, always impeccably dressed with matching jewelry. Her last three years were spent in South Country Village where she received exceptional care from all the staff, but especially Robert, her nurse on Sunnyside, who was amazing. An informal celebration of Noreen’s life will be held on Saturday, June 3rd at the BUFFS, 753 2 St SE at 6.00 p.m. Friends and family welcome. In lieu of flowers, raise a glass in remembrance of Noreen. Condolences may be made at www.gracememorial.com. Arrangements are made by Grace Memorial Affordable Burial & Cremation 1924 10th Ave N.W.
