1944 ~ CUI WEI CAO ~ 2023 Cui Wei Cao of Medicine Hat, AB passed away on Thursday, May 25th, 2023 at the age of 78 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Susan Yau of Redcliff, AB, Ricky (Vivian) Jiang of Medicine Hat, AB and Danny (Nicole) Xie of Vancouver, BC; five grandchildren; and a sister. She was predeceased by her husband, Zhen Ying Xie; her parents; as well as three brothers and one sister. Cui was born and raised in Guangzhou, China. In the early 2000’s she moved to Canada with Zhen and her young family, settling in Medicine Hat, and was honoured to become a Canadian citizen in 2005. She was dedicated to her family and she spent most of her years working with them in their family restaurants in Redcliff and Medicine Hat. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB, on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 from 11:30 am to 1:25 pm. The Funeral Service will follow at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL with Rev. Dave Pollard officiating. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery on Thursday June 8th, 2023 at 11:00 am.
