KWAS, STEVEN JOSEPH June 4, 1948 – September 11, 2023 With heavy hearts, the family of Steve announce his tragic passing on Sept 11, 2023. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Denise (nee Grotheim), his daughter Michelle Kwas (Stéphane Dubé), and his precious granddaughters Céleste, Estelle, Rosalie and Josiane. Also to mourn his passing is his mother Mary Kwas, his sister Christine (Laird) Bartley, niece Brielle Bester, and her daughter Jadeyn. He will be dearly missed by his extended family and many friends. Steve was predeceased by his father John Kwas, and his in-laws Roy and Luella O’Hara. Cremation has been entrusted to the Saskatoon Funeral Home.

    I could see the love Steve had for you every time he looked your way; you two had something special that very few people share.

    I enjoyed having beers with the two of you on your porch.

    I enjoyed listing to the band jam in your garage.

    I enjoyed seeing his smile, he rarely frowned.

    I miss him.

    I am sure Steve and Carl are raising hell together now.

I have many fond childhood memories of times spent at your home,and Steve was always such a character to be around,teasing and bugging us kids. Many laughs and smiles. He was one of a kind.
