MICHELE ROACH
Posted: October 21st, 2023 MICHELE ROACH
It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of my best friend, by beautiful bride of 33 years, my Michele. Surrounded by family she passed away peacefully at the age of 60 after battling both Pulmonary Fibrosis and Ovarian Cancer simultaneously for over four years. Left to cherish her memory, along with myself, Ray Roach, are her parents, Stan and Johanna Kambeitz, brother Kelly (Krista) Kambeitz, sister Kendra (Cal) Griscowsky, and nieces and nephews; Whitney Kambeitz (Devon Wood), Colton (Amber) Kambeitz and their children; James, Jayda and Sage, and Alyssa Gooding and Josh Gooding. Michele is also lovingly remembered by her stepchildren; Lisa (Clay) Thomas, Lori Roach, Alison Unger, Andrew Roach. Michele will be dearly missed by all her twelve grandchildren.
Michele attended McCoy High School and we were united in Marriage on June 9, 1990. We celebrated 33 years of marriage and 35 years together. She had worked various jobs in Medicine Hat, but the highlight of her working career was working on several Islands throughout the Caribbean for a duration of seven and a half years. She was employed as a Fund Administrator in Grand Cayman. She was also employed along with myself in Nassau Bahamas, Barbados, Grand Cayman, and Sint Maarten as electrical and IT project managers in the construction of new resort hotels. Her passion were the years she spent trading stocks in various USA and Canadian stock markets.
Michele was an enthusiastic cook and homemaker and a self professed Martha Stewart wannabe. In her later years, her faith in the good news of the gospel and her belief in God and Christ were the most important to her and gave her much strength. She was the strongest person I knew. With the health issues she endured, she never gave up hope and always had faith in the will of God.
She was an inspiration to everyone she knew for the courage she had while she tried to overcome the adversity of her terminal diseases.
Michele will be greatly missed by everyone she knew and it gives us great comfort to know that she now resides in her heavenly home free from pain and suffering.
Funeral services will be held at the Evangelical Free Church (8 Palliser Place NE) at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023. To leave a message of condolence you may visit www.pattisonfuneralhome.com.
