Bill Prouse, of Redcliff/Medicine Hat, passed away with family by his side, on Monday, October 30 at the age of 94 years. Bill is predeceased by his wife, Mary (nee Shushkewich) and son, George. Left with a lifetime of fond and loving memories are his daughter, Linda (Irwin Lindsay); daughter-in-law, Diane; grandchildren, Megan (Matthew Liddle), Ryan (Ingrid) Prouse, Katie (Jason Hill), Jennifer (Tony) Drew, and Brad (Amy Morris); great-grandchildren, Sam, Cameron, Claudia, Ian, Owen, Isabel, and Elöisé. Bill will also be missed by his brother, Roger (Louise). After 37 years of military service and posts all around the world, Bill’s last posting was to Suffield in 1984, where he spent his retirement years as a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Redcliff Branch #6. He also enjoyed a round of golf, throwing the odd dart, and making choke-cherry “wine” in the basement. The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff and residents of River Ridge for their exceptional care, kindness and patience. Thanks to the doctors and staff of 5E at Medicine Hat hospital for their exceptional care. Following Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a come & go celebration of life will be held at Saamis Creekside Centre, # 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Bill will be laid to rest with his wife in the Field of Honour in Redcliff Cemetery.
