MAYRILEN DIANE RIEGER
Posted: December 30th, 2023MAYRILEN DIANE RIEGER August 20, 1945 – December 25, 2023. Mayrilen passed away at the Southwood Hospice, Calgary, Alberta, on Christmas Day 2023, at the age of 78 years, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Mayrilen was born to John and Magdalena Rieger, in Medicine Hat, and the family farm was located in the area of Schuler. Mayrilen is survived by her three children, Veronica, Laureen, and Clayton (Kathy); and four grandchildren, Angel, Ben (Katie), Sarah, and Abigael (Stefano). Mayrilen was predeceased by her two brothers, Rubin and Gordon (Rose). She will be dearly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at Faith Calgary Church (1903 19th Avenue NW, Calgary, AB). For those who are not able to attend, the Service will be live streamed and can be viewed here (https://www.faithcalgary.com. A brief Reception will follow the Service and a Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery (243208 Garden Road).

Our deepest condolences to Mayrilen’s family and friends. Even though we only knew her for a few short years her smile always lifted our spirits her love for music and for the Lord. Her presence will be missed but we rejoice in her salvation. Will miss you sister
