GLENN WRIGHT
Posted: January 20th, 2024 GLENN WRIGHT 1959 – 2024 After a brief fight with cancer, Glenn Francis Wright passed away peacefully on January 16th, 2024, surrounded by family.
Born September 11, 1959, to Loreen and Orville Wright. Glenn, along with his three siblings: Patricia, Randy and James; lived in Medicine Hat, Calgary, and Port Colborne, Ontario.
After graduating from the University of Guelph, Glenn spent his career in the milling industry. Living and working in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. Finally coming to call Lethbridge, his home. Along the way he gathered many friends but, no matter where he lived, was always close to his family. He was a wonderful brother-in-law to Cathy and Kris. He was the “fun” uncle to Richelle, Sean, Meghan, Mason, Isabelle and Kalista, and he was also a great uncle to Owen, Isla and Daxx.
With a ready smile, and the ability to put anyone at ease, Glenn was always the life of the party. He treasured his friends and family. He was always willing to lend a hand. His interests spanned reading (especially science fiction) cooking, LEGO, all things horticulture, baking and wood-working. He loved to watch sports and spend time in the outdoors.
Glenn will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A Private celebration of life will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in honour of Glenn to the Canadian Cancer Society. To leave a message of condolence you may visit www.pattisonfuneralhome.com.

Very sorry to hear about Glenn. He will be sadly missed. He was always helpful and a pleasure to deal with. May your memories stay close in your hearts 💕
I wanted to send my condolences to the Wright family. I am so sorry for your loss. Glenn and I were friends in Port Colborne and went to the University of Guelph together. While at U of G, Glenn made many friends with his quick wit, intelligent and charming personality. Like a true Albertan cowboy, Glenn was always up for a party with a ready joke, a wink for a pretty girl and you never had an empty beer glass if you sat next to him… he was often the life of the party. Many of us have fond memories of Glenn from the high school and university years. He was a good friend to many people as he was to me. He was in my wedding party after we finished university and made our way in life and careers. I hope you find some comfort in knowing that Glenn lives on in hearts and minds of the many friends he made.
