PHILLIP GEDDES 1961-2024 Phillip “Phil” Geddes passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 29th, 2024, at the age of 63 years. Phil is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jane Geddes; his sisters, Kelly Cook, Lori Geddes, Beverly Clarke; brother, Robin (Tracey) Geddes. Phil also leaves his son, Cole (Sarah) Geddes as well as numerous nieces, nephews and his two favorite boys, his grandchildren, Jack and Olsen Geddes. Phil was born on March 5th, 1961. Phil had a long career in the Oilfield and worked throughout Medicine Hat and the surrounding area making many lasting friendships and creating lots of great memories. Phil loved attending his son, Cole’s sports games, travelling across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Montana. In addition to Phil’s work in the oilfield, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, visiting the local racetrack, and tinkering with woodwork and small engines in his garage. His garage was his favorite place to be in recent years having visits with neighbors and siblings. The garage had become a very popular neighborhood hangout. Phil also was an avid Calgary Flames fan and rarely missed a game. It was Phil’s greatest joy to be a grandfather and he loved spending time in Calgary with his grandsons visiting as much as possible, always bringing toys and chocolate. Phil was predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Margaret Geddes and his niece, Jen Cooke.
