MARION HOFFMAN 1943 ~ 2024
Marion Irene Hoffman passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the age of 80 years, beloved wife of Fred Hoffman of Medicine Hat, of whom she was married to for almost 63 years. She also leaves to cherish her two children, Glenda Hawthorne and Lorna (Craig) Hoffman-Pemberton; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Weatherhead (fiancé Aden Brandt); one sister, Gladys (Don) Perry; one brother-in-law, Edgar (Lorna) Hoffman as well as her fourteen nieces and nephews, Kevin, Leanne, Patti, Ashley, Chelsey, Ron, Clifford, Audrey, Joanne, Debbie, Marj, Bob, Jennifer, and Kathryn, whom she was close to.
Marion’s positivity was recognized by all, and her love for Jesus radiated in whatever she did. She was loved by many and her hospitality was her gifting. Marion continually put others before herself, with her kindness and generosity being evident. It was important for her to have her family around the table for mealtime, especially Sunday supper and special occasions.
Marion and her husband Fred successfully farmed in Leader, Saskatchewan for many years. Their teamwork and partnership throughout life included much hard work and many unforgettable memories. These memories include extensive trips around the world, Israel and Florida being places she visited on numerous occasions.
Marion was very active in her Church as well as other organizations, two of which include The Gideons International and the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. Marion was very musical, played several instruments, and enjoyed singing in choirs.
Marion will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her and the many lives that she impacted. One of her favourite Bible passages was Psalms 34.
She was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Ida Holstein; one son-in-law, Stephen Hawthorne; one brother, Fred (Lorrie) Holstein and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Oscar (Isabelle) Hoffman, Alfred (Agnes) Hoffman, and Gertie (Norman) Nagel. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
