  1. Debra A Forsyth says:

I was very sad to hear of Don’s untimely passing. We spent ten years together when he was a youth mentor at a high school and he supported the students I had in our program at the college. Don and I continued a friendship throughout the years after he left Lethbridge. He was an amazing individual who would lend a hand when asked, gossip with the best of us about any topic, meet at Tim Hortons when he was in town and we had many laughs together, and I will always think of him when something happens that was silly because he would say, Yup, I did that just for shit’ s and giggles. I will always remember you my friend you had an enormous impact on many lives.

  2. Lori Stolson says:

He will always be remembered in the skating communities. To his family ans friends, I am sorry for your incredible loss of someone so special.

I’m so very sorry to hear of Don’s passing. He lived his life filled with fun and adventure. I met Don when he worked in Melita, and he escorted me to my high school graduation. We were fortunate enough to reconnect years later, and we enjoyed a trip to Vegas. My heart is heavy for all of Don’s family and friends who will will be mourning his passing. Don had a way of touching many lives in the world of skating and beyond. He was a helper. Always looking to be there for others. My deepest sympathy to those whose lives were fortunate to be touched by his. I miss you, Don.
