Posted: August 13th, 2024 DONNA MEYERS 1953 – 2024
It is with extreme sadness that the family of Donna Lynn Meyers our wife, mom, sister, grandma and friend, announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at the age of 70 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband Phil Meyers of Dunmore; three children, Craig Meyers (Laurie Pollard), Laure Pyatt and Clint (Melissa) Meyers; her grandchildren Livia and Maisie Meyers, Rylan Williams (Teagan), Kennedy (Mason) Antler and Rachel Werre (Logan); siblings, Wayne Berg, Bonnie Evenson, Trina Gryde (Chris), Nyla Berg, Terry Berg, Chris Berg (Callie); brother-in-law Mick Leden and sister-in-law Gail Berg; Phil’s brother and sister Scott Meyers and Jane Bowen as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Edward and Alice (Verpy) Berg; two sisters, Shari Leden and Judy Berg Jordan; two brothers Gary Berg and Ron Berg; her in-laws Bud and Ruth Meyers and brother-in-law Clark Bowen. Donna Lynn’s life paints a beautiful picture of love, warmth, and individuality. Born in Frontier Saskatchewan, she embodied the spirit of resilience and creativity from a young age. Her journey through various ranches and farms reflects her hardworking nature, but it was her ability to forge deep connections that truly defined her. It was the last farm she was employed at that she met her soulmate, Phil. As an excellent cook, her fried chicken, blue cheese dressing, buns, cinnamon rolls and apple pie became the centerpiece of countless family gatherings, where she ensured that no one felt left out, welcoming 50 guests or more with open arms. Her home was not just a place to live, but a haven filled with laughter, love, and her unique flair for decorating and gift-giving, which she beautifully passed on to her children. Her early morning check-ins with family and her love showcased her dedication to keeping those connections alive. She loved the 5:00 a.m. cribbage games with Phil. She enjoyed her time antique hunting with her mom, going to the gun club or listening to music. Being a constant support for her family, Donna Lynn exemplified the essence of caregiving through her genuine care and concern for others. Despite not having formal training, her vast experience made her a natural caregiver, always putting others before herself. Donna’s refusal to conform to rules and her commitment to living life on her terms made her a remarkable individual who left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. She adored babies and small children and who could forget the “50 kisses” for each one EVERY time she saw them. Her spirit will be deeply missed, but the love she shared will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
A come and go celebration of Donna’s life will take place at the family home (3-12129 Range Road 60 Cypress County) on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (There will be signage). To leave a message of condolence you may visit www.pattisonfuneralhome.com.
