BRIAN THOMPSON 1939 ~ 2024 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, William Brian Thompson at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Doreen Anne Thompson; son, Barry (Maria) and daughter, Lori (Darren) Wilms. He will lovingly be remembered by his five grandchildren, Madison (Nolan), Joshua, Karter, Rachael, and Ashley (Ryan) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who cherished him deeply. Brian was pre-deceased by his father, William; his mother, Isabella May and his brother, Reay. A jack of all trades, Brian could repair or build anything he set his mind to. He will be remembered as an honest, hardworking man who was dedicated to his family. Brian and Doreen made their home in Swift Current and Medicine Hat. They spent their last years together under the caring staff at Sunnyside Nursing Home. The family are grateful for the outstanding staff at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital and the compassionate team who cared for him on 5 West. A Celebration of Brian’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating.
