ALVIN SHEARER 1944 ~ 2024 Alvin Shearer passed away on October 1st, 2024, at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Rose; his children, Kendra and Darren (Tina). He is reunited with his sons, Trevor and Alvin Jr., who passed in infancy, as well as his parents and his siblings, Betty, Johnny, and Anton in Heaven. Alvin’s legacy will live on through his grandkids, Kyler, Nolan (Courtney), Trista, Rease (Kody), and Keana, and his great-grandchildren, Kloee and Quinn. Alvin found joy working in his garden and garage on various projects, often spending weekends making sausage, growing garlic, and driving his ’59 Chevy truck all around town. Hockey was his favourite, and he loved playing old-timers and road hockey with kids. His amazing work ethic had him working as a truck driver for Kappler Dairies, Good Year, Petro, and Co-op. When he was younger, Max Cobrum taught him farm life, from breaking horses to raising cattle. Alvin was a kind, fair, funny, but also stubborn man who found humour everywhere. He will be missed by all (especially the Coke company). Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at River Valley Community Church, 1101 Queen Street SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 1B3, on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
