CORA KNOBLICH (FREIMARK)
Posted: October 24th, 2024 1934 ~ CORA KNOBLICH (FREIMARK) ~ 2024 Cora Knoblich went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on October 20, 2024, at the age of 89 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Darcey (Karen), Doug (Arlette); daughters, Kathy (Fred) Crittenden, Keri (Jason) Ehry; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. Also survived by three sisters, Clara Heebner, Ella Gueldner, and Betty Kramer; two brothers, Ben and Leonard Freimark. She was predeceased by her husband, Harvey Knoblich and an infant daughter, Linda; parents, Emil and Martha (Sulz) Freimark; sisters, Annie Ebel, Emma Perrin, Leah Cash, Viola Kirschenman, Julia Serfas and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Mom was born in the Newburg district and grew up on the family farm southeast of Irvine and also in Medicine Hat. She was the seventh of eleven children. She spoke often of the hard work on the farm and the fun she had with her siblings. She loved reminiscing. Mom met Dad on a blind date, fell in love and married in July of 1954. In 1955 they moved to Camrose so Dad could train for the ministry. This resulted in sixty-one years of being a faithful pastor’s wife, helping with kid’s club, youth groups, couples club and cooking for bible camps as well as Kiddie Kampus day care. They served in Hallonquist SK, Plum Coulee MB, Erwood SK, Barrhead, Medicine Hat and Schuler AB. Upon returning to Medicine Hat, they farmed in the Schuler area where mom loved to cook harvest meals and drive the little ford tractor, as well as help dad with any task. Now she is in heaven with dad and the harvest is complete. Mom said, “What is most important is family, and a relationship with the Lord”. Mom loved spending time with the kids and especially the grand and great grand children. So many great memories! Her life was a testament to her strong faith and commitment to God. Mom was a prayer warrior for her family, church and community, encouraging all to love and serve the Lord. “God is so good” is what she often said.
