ALICE FISCHER

1939 – ALICE FISCHER – 2024 It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our dear mother and grandmother. Alice passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024, in Calgary. Alice leaves to mourn her two sons; Stuart (Luisa) and Steven (Antoine); as well as her beloved grandsons, Benjamin and Matthew. She is also survived by her son’s father, Norman; her sister, Anne Durr; and numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Eva Fischer, as well as six brothers and three sisters. She was a proud woman and worked hard throughout her life, from the farm to the city. Her boys were her life, and she lived every day to make sure they had what they needed. She was incredibly proud of them and their families. She loved to cook, and no one ever went away hungry, even after a short visit. Holidays were always special sewing Halloween costumes, decorating the house for Christmas, preparing a special feast, and ensuring every birthday was celebrated appropriately. She also loved music whether singing around a campfire, playing her organ or records, and of course, singing with her brothers and sisters in the early years. She had a big heart, and many benefitted from her kindness. Rest in peace, Mom. Thank you for everything. We love you. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
