ELAINE KOI
Posted: November 8th, 2024 ELAINE KOI 1936 – 2024 Elaine Audrey Koi of Bow Island, beloved wife of the late Dennis Koi, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024, at the age of 88 years, after a brief illness. She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Shelly (Kent) Bjerkseth and Bruce (Tammy, deceased) Koi; her grandchildren, Reed (Denise) Bjerkseth and their children Hudson and Violet; Eric Bjerkseth, Tessa Koi (special friend, Kevin), Cale Koi (special friend, Sydnie) and her sister, Marlene (Simon) Hammel. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Margaret Thorson and brother-in-law, John McMaster. Elaine was born in Medicine Hat and raised on the family farm of George and Margaret Thorson in the Bow Island area. Elaine and her husband Dennis of 64 years were life long members of the Bow Island Community. Throughout the years, Elaine enjoyed many hours of coffee time and visiting with relatives and friends. Elaine worked as the Secretary/Treasurer for St. Michael’s School for a number of years. She retired with Dennis and they enjoyed golfing, camping, card playing and good times with friends. A special thank you to all the staff at Pleasant View Lodge in Bow Island. Elaine appreciated all the care and attention you gave her. No formal service will be held. Elaine will be remembered fondly by her family and friends.
