1933 ~ MARTHA FALKENBERG ~ 2024 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martha Falkenberg, who left this world on November 18, 2024, inMedicine Hat, Alberta. Born in Friedenfeld, Ukraine, Martha was a cherished soul who dedicated her life to her family and community. Martha was the beloved daughter of George and Lydia Allerdings. She is preceded in death by herparents; her dear husband, Alfred Falkenberg; and her daughter, Imgard, whopassed away in infancy. Martha also mourns the loss of her son-in-law, Don Koch;her sister, Agathe (Ed) Claussen and her brothers, John, Jakob, and GeorgeAllerdings. In life, Martha was the heart of her family, a loving mother who issurvived by her children, Art (Margie) Falkenberg, Ingrid Koch, and Peter(Lois) Falkenberg. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, who broughther immense joy, Melissa Falkenberg, Michelle (James) Lindsay, Cameron(Stephanie) Koch, Julie (Alicia) Koch, Dallas (Darren) Wagner, Chad (Kimberley)Falkenberg, and Joel (Sarah) Falkenberg. Furthermore, Martha was a proudgreat-grandmother to Oliver, Benjamin, Jordan, Hayden, Jonah, Lyndon, Peyton,Charlie, Nicholas, Jacob, Paige, Markus, Violet, and Oscar. She also leavesbehind her sisters-in-law, Erna and Lilli Allerdings, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will forever remember her warmth and kindness. Martha’s life was rich with passions and interests. She was an avid baker, renowned forher exquisite Black Forest cakes and delectable strudels. Her love for gardening was evident in her beautiful flower garden, which she tended withcare and dedication. A true lover of travel, Martha delighted in adventures toplaces like Mexico “Miss Mexico”, Jamaica, and Germany, often recounting her treasured experiences with a sparkle in her eye. In addition to her culinarytalents and her green thumb, Martha was known for her generosity of spirit. She volunteered her time and talents to various organizations, always seeking waysto give back to her community. Her infectious love for ice cream was a smallbut delightful part of her personality, bringing smiles to those around her.Martha was not just a mother or a grandmother; she was the glue that held herfamily together. Always there to lend a hand or an ear, she made everyone feelloved and valued. Her unwavering support and lively spirit will be deeplymissed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Friends and family areinvited to pay their respects at Temple Baptist Church, 606 7th St SW, MedicineHat, AB T1A 4K8 on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 10:00 10:55 am. TheFuneral service will be held at Temple Baptist Church on Friday, November 22, 2024,at 11:00 am with Pastor Ed Lehman officiating.
