Posted: January 2nd, 2025 CAROLINA (CARRIE) KAGLEA (NEE RESSLER)
Carolina (Carrie) Kaglea (nee Ressler) passed away at her home – Heritage Manor – in Kindersley with her family at her side on December 28, 2024 at the age of 92.
Born to Katherine and Nicodemus Ressler, Carrie was the youngest daughter of seven children. She grew up on the homestead in Fox Valley and upon completion of her education she began her career as a nurse aide at the hospital in Maple Creek where she worked for 35 years. Carrie was a dedicated and respected employee who loved her job of caring for people. She met her husband Lloyd, and they were blessed with three children: Darcy, Garth, and Geralyn. Her love and pride of her children was evident in the way in which she spoke of each of them.
Her Catholic faith and devotion to the church community was evident in each town/city that mom and dad resided in. In April 2024 she received her 60-year pin from the CWL, and it brought her much joy and pride to receive her pin alongside her daughter Geralyn. She also enjoyed being a member of the church choir and helping in the parish whenever asked.
Carrie was always known for her immaculate sense of style and wherever she went she was a picture of class. She was warm and welcoming to everyone she came across and she had the ability to always make one feel at ease. You never visited her home without enjoying some of her wonderful baking and a cup of coffee. She was the perfect hostess.
Softball, travel and socializing with family and friends were mom’s priorities. Throughout the years many wonderful memories of trips with her husband, her children, her sisters, and their families were made. Life’s journey took her to reside in Maple Creek, Medicine Hat, and Kindersley. Over the years mom was fortunate to meet some wonderful people and formed warm and lasting friendships for which she was always grateful for.
Left to remember are her children, Darcy (Lorrie), Garth (Lisa), Geralyn (Ken).
