JANNY SLOFSTRA 1937 ~ 2025 Mrs. Janny Slofstra, beloved wife of the late Mr. Martin Slofstra, passed away peacefully into her Saviour’s arms at Sunnyside Nursing Home in Medicine Hat on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the age of 88 years. She is survived by her sister, Anna Folkens of Woodstock, ON.; brothers, Simon (Alice) VanderByl of Surrey, BC., and Bill (Sue) VanderByl of Scotby, England; brother-in-law, Bill Aasman as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Janny was born in Gronningen, The Netherlands. In her later years, she devoted her time in the church, doing books and was the discussion leader in women’s group. In her younger years, she liked to cross-stitch and travel with Martin. Janny was a friend to many and will be missed. The Funeral Service will be held at Living Hope Church, 300 Primrose Drive S.E., Medicine Hat on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kevin VanderVeen officiating.
