GREGORIA “PINKY” UHL March 12th, 1954 October 8th, 2025 It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and gramma, Gregoria (Pinky) Uhl, on October 8, 2025, at the age of 71 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Sarah (Jay) Alexander and Erin Manchuk, and her cherished grandchildren Sophie, Henry, and Audrey. Pinky is also survived by her siblings Sylvia (Klapak), Bill, Peter, Greg, Tom, and Dave Lesko, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. She is predeceased by her mother Irene, father Peter, and brother Larry Lesko.
Pinky was born into a family of 8 children where they all lived on a turkey farm in Montmartre, SK until 1964, when they moved to Medicine Hat, AB. She enjoyed playing pool with her brothers at the family business, Pete’s Billiards, and jumping hurdles with the high school track team. She later moved to Lethbridge, AB where her 2 daughters were born. Upon return to Medicine Hat in 1989, Pinky enjoyed connecting with her siblings at many large boisterous Lesko family gatherings. Pinky then worked in accounts receivable before returning to her love of banking as a teller until retirement in 2019.
Pinky lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and care for others. She had a love for travel, with one of her most treasured memories being a mother-and-daughters trip through Europe. Her greatest joy, however, was her grandchildren, who brought endless happiness and pride.
At home, Pinky found peace and purpose in her garden. Whether tending to her flowers, pulling weeds, or mowing the lawn, she poured her heart into creating beauty and took great pride in everything she did.
Her kindness, strength, and gentle spirit will be forever missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.
A private celebration of life and remembrance will be held at a later date. Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.gracememorial.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Home Carmel Hospice by visiting www.covenanthealth.ca. Arrangements are made by
