Albert Enns, age 87, passed away at home in Medicine Hat with his wife and daughter, Judy and Lily, by his side on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Albert was predeceased by his younger sister, Trudy Mikelson; his first wife, Connie Enns and nephew, Boyd Crowson. He is survived by his two younger brothers, Wally and Pete Enns; one younger sister, Martha Crowson along with a large extended family.
Albert joined the US Marines during the Vietnam war as one of 19,000 Canadians and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. As a result of agent orange dioxin exposure, Albert has battled many forms of illness over the years, including hairy cell leukemia.
Through it all, his devotion to God never faltered. He was tough mentally and physically, but also compassionate and gladly chatted with almost everyone he met.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so starting an hour prior to the Celebration of Albert’s life which will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with fellowship following in the Milestone Room of the Reflections Reception Facility. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Taber Memorial Garden Cemetery which is situated on the west side of 50th Street, approximately one mile north of 64th Avenue.
