Dale Gerald Brown, age 67 years, passed away at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Monday, November 24, 2025, shortly after a diagnosis of cancer. Dale’s loving wife, Kathy, was with him when he peacefully left this world to join his parents and sister in God’s loving presence. His children, grandchildren, sisters and beloved furry friend, Maui, surrounded him with love and support leading up to his passing.
Along with Kathy, his loving wife of 31 years, Dale is survived by his children and grandchildren: Brendan (Leslee) Brown, Avery & Colter (Rivers, MB); Aaron (Rachel) Brown and Charlotte (New Westminster, BC); Brian (Corinne) O’Neill, Maeryn, Brody & Tegan (Sherwood Park, AB); Lana (Brent) Watts, Ty, Haylie & Brynn (Leader, SK); brother-in-law, Garry Schaan; sisters, Judy (Roger) Galenza, Donna Brown and Wendy (Michael) Thienes; brothers-in-law, Brian (Fern) McMillan and Don (Wanda) McMillan as well as many nieces and nephews. Dale was predeceased by his parents, Fred & Ann Brown; sister, Kathy Schaan; Kathy’s parents, Emmett & Lucille McMillan and sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Carol & Larry Hainstock.
A Celebration of Dale’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Jaycen Snider officiating. The service will be live-streamed. Those who cannot attend but wish to experience the celebration are encouraged to visit the funeral home’s website and select the View Broadcast button on the Homepage at service time. I never knew him but was
raised in the Bridgeford district also.
I knew Ann and Fred. Ann bought my
piano.
My sister Bonnie likely attended school with some of you.
