BLACK, Graham April 1, 1945 – December 24, 2025 It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Graham Ross Black of Diamond Valley, AB on December 24, 2025.
Left to cherish Graham’s memory is his sister Jane Dreger, sisters-in-law Dixie Black, Gayle Senger, and Shirley Stepanic; Goddaughter, Jamie (Paul) Slaney and their children Cadence, Easton and Callum. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Graham was predeceased by his wife, Pearl Black, his parents, Reg and Margaret Black, his brother, James Robert Black, his brothers-in-law, Arnie Dreger, Lloyd Stepanic, and Harvey Senger, and his mother and father-in-law, Joe and Tillie Senger.
Graham was born and raised in Medicine Hat. After completing school, he attended Mount Royal College in Calgary and obtained a business Degree. He had a keen and sharp mind when it came to figures and was therefore very successful in many of his adventures.
Graham and Pearl spent their retirement winters in Weslaco, Texas, as well as a couple winters in Yuma, Arizona. During those times, they were fortunate to develop many close friendships, which they kept in close contact with. Later in their retirement years, they decided to move away from the warm summers and moved to Diamond Valley, close to the Rocky Mountains, to enjoy the cool nights.
As per Graham’s wishes, his life will be honoured and his memory cherished without the proceedings of a formal funeral.
