DAISY LANE November 15, 1931 ~ June 9, 2026
Daisy Sybil Andriene Lane, beloved wife of the late John Lane, passed away at AgeCare Riverview in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the age of 94 years.
Daisy’s memory will live on through her son, Doug (Peggy); grandchildren, Robin Lane, Kim Lane, Lisa (Mark) Simmons, Kevin Leismeister and Brett (Terri-Lynne) Leismeister as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Along with her husband, John, she was predeceased by her daughter, Janice Muhlbeier and her grandson, Scott Lane.
Daisy was born on November 15, 1931, in Bengough, Saskatchewan. She later married the love of her life, John Lane on November 17, 1950, and together they built a life filled with family, friendship and cherished memories. In the early 1960s, they made their home in Medicine Hat, where Daisy became a respected member of the community.
Daisy dedicated many years of service to the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, where she worked as a porter, and retired at the age of 55, allowing her more time to enjoy the hobbies and pastimes she loved.
A talented and creative woman, Daisy found great joy in gardening, quilting and crocheting. She was especially known for making the best dishcloths, which were treasured by family and friends alike. She also enjoyed challenging her mind with crossword puzzles and Sudoku and could often be found working away at her latest puzzle.
Daisy was a devoted fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and rarely missed the opportunity to cheer on her favourite team. Whether tending to her garden, creating something beautiful with her hands or spending time with loved ones, Daisy embraced life with warmth, determination and a gentle spirit.
