Posted: June 16th, 2026 MARION LOIS KELLY 1934 ~ 2026 Mrs. Marion Kelly of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. William Kelly, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Good Samaritans Park Meadows on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the age of 91 years.
Marion was born on November 4, 1934, in Brooks. She married Randall Hart and settled in Bow City until moving to Grassy Lake. While in Grassy Lake she curled, taught kindergarten and tap dance lessons in their home. They moved to Taber where she worked in the lab at the Sugar Factory, and Marshall Wells. Randall passed away in 1977, and it was then that she became a teacher’s aide for LT Westlake Kindergarten, where she played the piano and wrote teaching songs for the children in the class. She played for all the concerts in elementary school. She later married Bill Kelly and moved to Peachland, BC, where they enjoyed golfing, good friends, mom’s music and the beautiful view of Lake Okanagan from their balcony. Bill passed away in 2000, and mom moved back from BC to Calgary and then finally settled in Lethbridge.
Marion is survived by her four children Leslie (Jim) Guenter, Lana Ontkean, Randy (Dorothy) Hart, Sandra (Tim) Myers; grandchildren Cara Vanden Broeke, Jeri Wallis, Nicholas Ontkean, Chandler Ontkean, Lauren Hart, Christopher Myers, Shannon Hart; great-grandchildren Taylor and Camryn Vanden Broeke, Gwendolyn Hart and William and Olivia Myers; two sisters and one brother.
A Celebration of Marion’s Life will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Don O’Dwyer, officiating. Marion will be laid to rest privately in the Mountain View Cemetery prior to the service.
