DENNIS RATH December 30, 1945 ~ July 2, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dennis Paul Rath announce his passing in Medicine Hat on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the age of 80 years.
Dennis was born on December 30, 1945, in Medicine Hat and was raised in the Manyberries area where he received his schooling. The prairie was always home to him and he spent much of his life farming and ranching north of Manyberries. A hard working man with a strong work ethic, Dennis also worked as a carpenter and later as a driver for Ace Courier.
On October 6, 1967, Dennis married the love of his life, Lorraine and together built a life centered on family, hard work and simple pleasures.
More than anything, Dennis treasured his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him endless joy and spending time with them was among his greatest pleasures.
Along with his beloved wife, Lorraine, left to cherish his memory are his children, Jamie (Coralee) Rath, Scott Rath and Tanya Rath; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Amanda (Justin), Everly, Mylah, Braiden, Shaylin (Cam), Cody, Noah, Courtney, Jaxen, Morgan (Ashlyn), Skylar and Rylee (Josiah). He is also survived by his sister, Carol Willms and his brother, Jerry Rath and his son, Darrell (Tania) as well as Darrell’s children, Dradin and Jordon. Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Gottleib and Minnie Rath as well as his niece, Pamela Davies.
Dennis’ life will be silently remembered and cherished without the proceedings of a formal funeral service. (Condolences may
