Adele was born on May 10, 1928, in Chelm, Poland. After the second world war, Adele moved to Germany and later immigrated to Canada. Adele was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church, which carried her through life’s joys and challenges alike. She took much pride in her beautiful flower garden and her love of cooking. Her home reflected her love of the seasons, especially Christmas and Easter, with hundreds of cherished decorations. Adele was fiercely independent and we were able to honor her wish of living in her own home until her passing. Her life reminds us that love is often shown in simple acts, such as a beautiful garden, warm meal and Christmas tradition passed down through generations.
