Posted: July 16th, 2026 GERHARDA “GERRY” KOERSELMAN NEE VANEERTEN AUGUST 27, 1929 ~ JULY 13, 2026 Gone to be with the Lord. Mrs. Gerharda “Gerry” Koerselman of Coaldale, beloved wife of the late Mr. Gerrit Koerselman passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in her home on Monday, July 13, 2026, at the age of 96 years.
Beloved Mom, Oma, great Oma, great-great Oma. Survived by her children Trudy (Alex) Hann, Joan Koerselman, Bert (Pauline) Koerselman, Betty (John) Dalhuisen, Sharon (Dick) Dalhuisen, Laura (Bill) Hofsink, Yolanda (Paul) Veurink; 35 grandchildren; 61 great- grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Aad and Hanny Vermeulen of the Netherlands.
Predeceased by her loving husband Gerrit in 2010, her son John in 1986, and her grandson Richard Veldkamp in 2025. The rest of Gerry’s siblings and siblings in law previously passed.
Gerry was born in Enschede, the Netherlands. Gerry married Gerrit in 1954 and they emigrated to Canada immediately after their wedding and spent their honeymoon on the Grote Beer as it sailed to Canada. They settled in Southern Alberta where they raised their family. They were married for 55 years. She loved spending time with family, she had a wonderful green thumb and loved plants and flowers. She enjoyed puzzling, Rummikub, crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She received her first camera when she was a teenager and ever since then has kept albums of her life. She loved her Lord and could often be found quietly reading his Word.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH on HWY #3 West in Coaldale, with Reverend Q. Vandermeulen officiating.
