SYLVESTER “SYL” KIRCHNER 1939 ~ 2026 Sylvester “Syl” Charles Edward Kirchner, beloved husband of Carrol Kirchner, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the age of 87 years. Syl was born in Kelvington, SK, to Frank and Annie Kirchner on May 30, 1939. He was the fifth of nine children. Syl married the love of his life, Carrol Pollom on April 11, 1961, in Killam, AB. He was a proud father to Donelda (Mike) Rennie and Warren (Donna) Kirchner. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Natasha Opp, Megan (Trevor) Bolen, Josh (Alf Whitehead) Kirchner, Joey (Tessa) Kirchner and Cole (Kelsie) Kirchner. His five great grandchildren could always bring a smile to his face, Brenden, Tyla and Nolan Opp, and Austin and Bennett Kirchner. After his family, his greatest loves were his 1963 Mack and his 1939 Willys truck. At Syl’s request there will not be a funeral service. A private family interment will follow at a later date.
