BURZMINSKI 1954 – 2026 JEANETTE BURZMINSKI, beloved wife of Doug Oster, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026 in Lethbridge.
Jeanette is survived by her mother, Cassie Ceilin, three sisters: Leona (Walter), Mary, and Kris (Ken); and brother, Richard (Denise), as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her father, Michael and brothers Henry and Randal. She is also survived by her devoted husband, Doug and two loving daughters: Marcia (Robert), and Angela (Greg); and grandsons Clark, Lex and Cosmo.
Jeanette Burzminski was born March 15, 1954 in Smoky Lake, Alberta. She grew up living in various places in B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan. Jeanette and Doug married in Calgary in 1985, then moved to Lethbridge in 1995.
Jeanette was a proud letter carrier with Canada Post for 31 years, starting in Calgary in late 1977, then in 1995-2009 in Lethbridge when she retired. Upon retirement, she volunteered in a reading program with grades 1-4 at Fleetwood Bawden and Westminster elementary schools. Jeanette loved art, handmade items and textiles as well as hiking, especially in the mountains. Jeanette and Doug had many wonderful experiences travelling to different destinations in the world; nothing gave her more pleasure than time with her young grandsons.
